ABOUT CASA WALKER
Casa Walker is a beautiful, 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom colonial townhouse in the Santiago neighborhood of Merida, Yucatan. The safest neighborhood in Merida. Completely furnished with period and art deco furniture, unique lighting and ceiling fans in every room. A newly renovated patio area, with a 14 foot X 6 foot cooling plunge pool and fountain.
This artist owned home has original tile floors, 18 foot ceilings in main part of the house, beautiful iron work, screens on every window, etc. The master bedroom has platform style king sized bed. The master bedroom also has private patio with outdoor shower, dressing room, and private bathroom. Sheets, complete set of towels, pillows, and hammocks are all provided. The guest bedroom has 2 matrimonial (double) beds, hammock, and private, full bathroom. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, 5 burner, professional cooktop, with an electric convection oven toaster, microwave, blender, orange juicer, an antique glass door hutch with complete set of dishes, rustic farm table, cabinets and shelves. (all cooking utensils, flatware also included) The kitchen opens into a 700 sq. ft. outdoor patio with a hand made marble from a local quarry was used to make outdoor dining table with Italian cafe chairs. There is air conditioning throughout the house so the summer months are more easily tolerated. Wifi is availlable in every room.

We prefer payment by Zelle, but also accept Paypal, Venmo, checks written on US bank accounts sent to our US address, and accept payments monthly for long term rentals (of over one month) to our property manager in Merida. We do require a security deposit.

Casa Walker is our home 6 months out of the year, therefore it is filled with our collections of folk art we have gathered from all over Mexico for the past 3 decades. We are jewelry and home accessory designers who produced our designs in Mexico. This is our home, not an ongoing vacation rental.
Great, quiet location, walking distance to everything, plus usually parking right in front of the house for you or your guests.
The Bedrooms

The master bedroom is just off the pool. Plenty of room in the king sized bed, plus a love seat for watching TV, or DVD moves. The connection to the outdoor speakers in on the glass topped desk, just use your phone or computer to connect to an online music source, or listen to a favorite radio station, anywhere in the world. Also, powered speakers are for your use in the bedroom. Off of the master bedroom, is a large dressing room, private bathroom, and outdoor shower. Our storage "bodega has a washing machine, or bring your clothes to Jenny, on the corner of Calle 72 and Calle 55, 4 blocks away.

The Guest Bedroom
The guest bedroom is up the spiral staircase off of the outdoor terrace. 2 full sized beds, and an en suite bathroom, this guest room offers a lot of privacy for your guests, your children or another couple you may share the house with. Also is a hammock, great for sleeping or taking a nap. The guest bedroom has its own mini split A/C, ceiling and floor fans, and great breezes.
